'As we celebrate Easter in a different way, we are reminded that the message of Easter is especially pertinent in our lives right now.
Easter is a time of hope and renewal. Jesus was willing to offer himself up in service to us all, and we see today how much service to one another is needed. His rising from the dead on Easter Sunday proves that however dark the times may seem; however helpless our situation may feel; God offers wonderful possibilities.
The darkness of illness and death are not the last word, and must be seen against the light of resurrection and renewal. It must been seen in the context of a loving God who experienced the totality of human suffering, and yet holds out to us the promise of renewal, of joy and fulfillment.'
Helen has asked us if we add this link from the Bible society. They have posted a message of reassurance in the midst of this crisis.
