From this Thursday 5 November we are in lockdown again but not as severe as the first.
Full Government guidelines for the restrictions can be found here www.gov.uk
The Government has not reintroduced shielding for the most vulnerable people but instead is seeking to protect people and reduce the reinfection rate by limiting social contact.
Everyone is advised to stay at home but can go out if they must to work, for education, for essential supplies of food and medicine, for exercise and to care for others.
You cannot meet family and friends indoors or outdoors unless as part of a support bubble (the same as exists now) or you meet one other person outdoors in a public space.
Non-essential retail will be closed which includes pubs, restaurants, sports facilities, entertainment venues (cinemas and theatres), botanic gardens, hair and beauty shops. We are waiting to hear if libraries are in this category.
Takeaways will be allowed but not for alcohol.
Online retailers are open including for click and collect.
We will post more specific information on local restrictions and closures as soon as we receive it.
