We are in Tier 1 - help to keep it that way

From Wednesday 2 December local restrictions take the place of the national lockdown. Most regions of England are in tier 2. Only the Isle of Wight, Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly are in tier 1 because we have low levels of virus.

Tier 1 means:

  • no socialising in groups larger than 6 indoors or outdoors

  • businesses and venues can remain open with exceptions eg night-clubs

  • pubs can open but must provide table service, close by 11pm and not take orders after 10pm

  • takeaways can trade after 10pm as long as its delivery, click-and-collect or drive through

  • performances and shows are permitted provided the venue is not more than 50% full or there are no more than 4000 people outdoors or 1000 indoors whichever is lower

  • places of worship can open but you must no attend in groups of more than 6

  • weddings are restricted to 15 people, funerals to 30

  • indoor sport is allowed provided you are not in a group of more than 6

  • if you travel to a higher tier area you must comply with the restrictions there
